Man if I were there I would have gone down to see if I could help them. It wouldn't sit right with me to be standing up on an overpass, see an accident, and not do anything about it.
The fact that it may help make the VSE and the Phenomenauts look even better isn't important, but it certainly wouldn't hurt (as long as that's not the reason you're trying to help).

Believe me when I say that we wanted to go do something about it, but we would have had to climb fences, dropped down a 20 foot wall down to the highway, then passed the oncoming traffic. It would have been a nice mission impossible thing but it wasn't needed anyways.
Both drivers gave each other the thumbs up to signal and ask if they were okay, and remained calm after getting off the phone and alerting the authorities. They did the right and the smart thing there.
I don't think it would have been the best idea to go down there and try to help, if anything we could have done more damage if there had been any physical or mental harm. One of the drivers was shaken, but she did eventually keep her calm.

Ah, okay. Totally understandable.
Still though, it sucks to see an accident and know there's nothing you can do about it.

That is too bad about the accident, maybe they were saluting you and lost control...probably not but anyways. Also, I suppose what I have taken from the =VSE= is not that if you do not complete missions you are on probation but just explain that you can't do the mission or just don't report for them. I doubt you will be kicked out and as long as you are doing as much as you feel necessary to promote the Phenomenauts and try to get there music to reach a broader audience than you are doing one hell of a job. We all have lives and the extent of our free time is ever ranging. Don't give up on the =VSE= it is great for us all to unite under our common interests.

Im new to the VSE, and the forum for that matter, but Ive been a cadet for a while, and Ill be moving to Oakland in late august, so i figured it would be good now to dedicate more time to the Phenomenauts and enlist. im #.063

Welcome aboard!
I'm Cadet .019. I enlisted shortly after the V.S.E. started (or apparently re-started because it existed and disbanded once before).
Missions are pretty fun. I haven't always had total success, though, people here in Fresno tend to think the idea of a space-themed punk rockabilly band is stupid. But that's why I enlisted, I want to change that.
